Top leader of the Indigenous Regional Council of Cauca (CRIC), Aida Qillcué organised the indigenous marches to Cali e Bogotà during October and November 2008. Aida Qillcué has been direct interlocutor of indigenous movements with President Alvaro Uribe, the Defence Minister Juan Manuel Santos, and the Colombian national government as such.
