EFA Group statement on the departure of Ska Keller

Last night Ska Keller announced she would be stepping down as President of the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament.

Ska Keller was first elected as MEP in 2009 and became Co-President of the Greens/EFA group in 2016. After six years as president, Ska has decided to step down to open the door to the “next generation.”

Jordi Solé, MEP and EFA Group President, said:

“On behalf of the EFA group, I would like to thank Ska for all her work and dedication through all these years.

“Our collaboration as Greens/EFA has been much easier and better, thanks to her compromise and way of thinking.

“It has been a pleasure to work with her all these years, and the Greens/EFA group is definitely better because of people like Ska.”

“Thank you  Ska, we wish you the best in this new chapter.”
