Recovery Plan - a crucial moment for the EU

A webinar with MEPs Bas Eickhout and Rasmus Andresen

Webinar on recovery plan

Dear friends,

Coronavirus has led Europe into a serious crisis. This crisis poses social, human and economic challenges, and has put European solidarity to the test. Now is the time to demonstrate the qualities and values of the European Union; the crisis hits us hard but might also be containing a crucial chance to create a turning point and lift the European project to a new level.

During this webinar, organized by Greens/EFA Members of the European Parliament Rasmus Andresen and Bas Eickhout, we will get together with Daniela Schwarzer, director of the German Council on Foreign Relations, and Professor of political science Catherine E. De Vries to gain insight into the economic recovery plan and new multiannual financial framework (MFF) that will be proposed by the European Commission this Wednesday.

Both experts will share their first impressions and analysis of the proposals and discuss them with the two green MEPs, who are deeply involved with the EU recovery and MFF in their political work. We will comment on the future of the EU and the eurozone as well as discuss possible future scenarios, especially in light of the European Commission’s ambitions to put the EU Green Deal at the heart of the recovery.

Most importantly, we want to hear from you. And we would appreciate you could also react on our Greens/EFA recovery and resilience plan.

Come join us. Registration is now closed.

This chat is part of our series 'What Europe/World do you want to return to?'. If you have missed it, you can re-watch it here.
