Serbia-Kosovo

Commenting on the agreement between Serbia and Kosovo on normalising relations that was reached today, Green MEP and EP draftsperson/rapporteur on Kosovo Ulrike Lunacek stated:

"This historic agreement is a breakthrough for the entire region and paves the way for further progress towards EU integration for both countries. All sides are to be praised for their hard work, without which this breakthrough would not have been possible. The agreement is also a success for the EU and shows it is still an effective international soft power. The EU must now push ahead with accession talks for Serbia and negotiations on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement with Kosovo.”
