Report on "Mitigation of Climate Change" to be unveiled this week
The report to be published on Friday will be the 3rd IPCC report of 2007.
The first was unveiled in Paris beginning of February and was an overview of the science of global warming. It said that it was at least 90% certain that mankind was to blame for most of the warming in the last half century.
The second was published beginning of April in Brussels and adressed the consequences of climate change around the world such as impacts on health, farming or water availability.
The third report, next Friday, will analyse the ways to fight global warming, including the options and costs for tackling greenhouse gas emissions.
Eventually a fourth "Synthesis Report" to be unveiled on 16 November in Valencia, Spain will sum up all the findings.
