What did Canada and France do to fix their lobbying problem?

Live Webinar - Register here!

To protect the EU institutions from corruption, untransparent lobbying and the revolving door, some of the world’s strongest rules are in place. Credible transparency rules are important to preserve the trust of citizens in European political decisions. But we have to address the weaknesses in implementing these rules. What can the EU learn of the best enforcement examples? The lead negotiators for Parliament’s political groups discuss with representatives of the French Haute Autorité pour la Transparence de la Vie Publique (HATVP) and the Canadian Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner.

  • Lisa Gamgani, Secretary General for the Haute Autorité pour la Transparence de la Vie Publique
