Missing links in regional trans-border rail connections

GreensEFA experts meeting

GreensEFA produced a European map with Missing Links in regional trans-border rail connections. We classified these missing links and made a choice of ca. 30 examples of these. The intention of this open experts meeting is to bring this item into the focus of European policy, right at the beginning of the co-decision procedure on TransEuropean Transport Networks. See also quoted § 40 EP:

"The EP asks the Commission to set out a selection of examples of regional trans-border rail connections, which have been dismantled or abandoned, favouring especially those which could interconnect with TEN-T."

(§ 40 in EP resolution P6_TA(2009)0258 of 22 April 2009 - TEN-T Green Paper)
