Biking is Green

Electric and Clean Mobility

At the start of the European Mobility Week this event will show and demonstrate new models of electric and (un)conventional bicycles, intermodality between cycling and public transport, recently installed services in the area Gare de Luxembourg - Place de Luxembourg. Visitors will be able to test the bikes on the Gopedelec test-track. Cycle related projects and organisations will present their activities. Participants are ETRA, Batavus, Clean Mobile, Dahon, ekolo.cz, Koga-Miyata, Sparta, Trikke, Segway, Vrachtfiets, Wheelylift and Yikebike. Also the following cycle related projects and organisations will present their activities: Aeneas, BOVAG-TWB, Bond Beter Leefmilieu, Call a Bike, ECF, Eurocities, Global Alliance for Ecomobility, Gopedelec, Mobility Week, Polis, Presto, Pro Velo, Villo. This exhibition and demonstration is co-organised by the EP Mobility Unit, the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament and the European Trade Association for Bicycle Dealers (ETRA). First guided visit for Greens/EFA MEPs and staff at exhibition and demonstration points of electric and other bikes, info stands, bike Point, Villo, Cambio etc.

11:30-12:30

Conference bike meeting on how to better include electric bicycles in the European electric mobility policies with Jo Leinen MEP (President ENVI Committee), Silvia Ticau MEP (Vice-President TRAN Committee), Michael Cramer (Spokesman Transport Policy GreensEFA in EP), Guido Gielen (DG Enterprise & Industry), Cristina Marolda (DG MOVE - Road safety), Anne-France Rihoux (Belgian Presidency – Ministry Climate & Energy).
