Bin Salman in Brussels

Daniel Freund, Greens/EFA MEP from Germany and the European Parliament’s Vice-Chair of the Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula, comments on the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Brussels:

„Imagining European leaders smiling and shaking hands with a man allegedly responsible for having a journalist dismembered is deeply disturbing. Our outrage and revulsion at this horrific violation of human rights cannot be set aside for the sake of quick deals with dictators. EU leaders must confront brutal authoritarianism wherever it exists. We will never stop demanding justice for Jamal Khashoggi."
