Greens/EFA meet with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen

Today, the Greens/EFA Presidents Terry Reintke and Bas Eickhout met with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. 

Bas Eickhout, Greens/EFA President comments: 

“We had a very constructive meeting where we discussed finding a stable, democratic majority in the European Parliament. However, we also made it clear the Greens/EFA will not be part of a majority that negotiates with or relies on the far right, including ECR."

Terry Reintke, Greens/EFA President, comments:

“The EU needs a reliable majority that can tackle the many challenges it is facing, ensures the continuation of the Green Deal and makes sure industries within the EU are global leaders in the green transition."
