Nobel Prize for Literature

Commenting on the award of the Nobel Prize for Literature to Romanian-born German writer Herta Müller, Greens/EFA Group Co-presidents Rebecca Harms and Daniel Cohn-Bendit said: "We are delighted that this year's Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to Herta Müller. Herta Müller is an artist whose experience, work and courage have contributed to the Europe that we know and love. Her work fully deserves the acclaim it has received. This award is also a symbolic gesture towards human rights and the right to live in freedom."
