Painting biodiversity

Greens/EFA organised a symbolic action in the European Parliament

Three days ahead of the International Day of Biodiversity (22 May), the Greens/EFA organised a symbolic action in the European Parliament within the framework of their 2010 Biodiversity Campaign. Greens/EFA MEPs contributed to a collective painting representing biodiversity and made by local artists. 

A group of local artists made a huge painting representing biodiversity and Greens/EFA MEPs left messages for biodiversity on the painting.

This event aimed at raising awareness to the protection of biodiversity a few days ahead of the International Day of Biodiversity and a few months ahead of tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 10) to the UN Convention on Biodiversity to be held in Nagoya (Japan) in October 2010.
