Covid-19 Vaccinations

Members of the European Parliament will debate the global vaccination strategy. The Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament are calling for more coordination among EU countries and support a European approach. The Greens/EFA group calls on the European Commission to build trust with more transparency and advocates for international equitable access to vaccines and a global vaccination strategy.

Greens/EFA debriefing of the plenary session

14-18 December

Greens/EFA priorities for the plenary week included the Council Conclusions on the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), Rule of Law and Climate Law, the presentation of the Digital Service Act (DSA), the Drinking Water Directive, transitional provisions for Agricultural Funds, the European Year of Rail 2021, a new Strategy for European SMEs, and the future relations between the EU and the UK following Brexit negotiations.

Clean water for the whole EU

Drinking Water Directive

EU-wide clean drinking water is a great success for the initiative from civil society. We owe it to the efforts of civil society that our drinking water will be cleaner in the future. For the first time, limit values for endocrine disruptors and stricter values for lead will make tap water cleaner. All of Europe will see the roll out of public drinking water dispensers.
