Afghanistan, where the world failed humanity

A conference co-organized by the Greens/EFA and The Left

PRESENTATION

Since the Taliban takeover in 2021, Afghan people are living through an absolute nightmare. Women and girls are facing particularly difficult conditions under Taliban rule. They suffer most from the lack of basic health care and the current famine and are particularly dependent on humanitarian aid. The Taliban de facto authorities have publicly pledged to respect women's rights after taking power, but as it now turns out, those were nothing but empty words, especially in light of the bans on education and working in the humanitarian aid sector.

Against this backdrop, the Greens/EFA together with The Left organise the conference "Afghanistan, where the world failed humanity".

When?  13 April 15.00-18.30
Where? ASP1-G2, Spinelli building, European Parliament, Brussels
