“We need biotechnologies to feed the world” is one of the bottom-line of the proponents of these technologies in agriculture and food production. For them, by fighting against the spreading of GM plants and animals in the fields, activists and politicians would be contributing to world hunger and acting as enemies of the farming community.

However, many farmers and agriculture professionals were present at the Monsanto tribunal and People’s Assembly which took place in The Hague in October. We asked them their opinion on the matter.
