PIRATES IN THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

Since 2009, Pirate Party MEPs have been part of the European Parliament with the Greens/EFA group. In the current term, Marcel Kolaja, Markéta Gregorová, Mikuláš Peksa (Czechia), and Patrick Breyer (Germany) represent them in Brussels and Strasbourg.

They advocate for civil rights, direct democracy, transparency, and protecting digital rights online. Their principles include promoting innovation, open-source software, knowledge sharing, privacy, free speech, and opposing mass surveillance, censorship, and Big Tech monopolies.

The European Parliament condemns the attack on Nagorno-Karabakh

Members of the European Parliament will adopt a resolution on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. In the resolution, the MEPs strongly condemn the new offensive by autocratic Azerbaijan on the Nagorno-Karabakh province.

Vote to stop a future of biometric mass surveillance in Europe!

41 MEPs from different political groups call the French Parliament to stop an unprecedented planned automated mass surveillance of citizens’ behaviour in public using artificial intelligence. This call comes ahead of the vote on planned legislation for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
