    Panama Papers investigation

    New regulation will help protect public interest in the financial sector

    The European Parliament’s Economy committee has backed a report from Greens/EFA rapporteur Philippe Lamberts. It will ensure greater financial stability for Finance Watch and Better Finance, who represent the public interest in financial regulation.

    Tax evasion

    The Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament has published a report looking at the role of intermediaries (banks, accountants, lawyers) in tax evasion. The report draws on information from a database created by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists using data from the Panama Papers, Bahamas Leaks and Offshore Leaks.
