    The Faroe Islands are an archipelago of 18 islands, with 52 thousand inhabitants, considered an independent nation inside Denmark, with their culture, language and the power to sign their own international treaties. We want a EU that recognises and accepts minorities and stateless nations.

    EFA MEP François Alfonsi, the co-chair of the minority intergroup, held a press conference supporting the demands from cultural and linguistic minorities to the Conference on the Future of Europe.
