    Alternatives to short-haul flights in the European Union

    Considering that within the EU, a significant amount of short-haul flights are cross-border, that their environmental impact is significant, and that in many instances there are sustainable alternatives, we believe the Commission should take action to inform consumers, and help and motivate them in making more sustainable choices.

    Commission announces plan to end the cage age - quotes from Francisco Guerreiro MEP & Eleonora Evi MEP

    The European Commission has announced a legislative proposal by 2023 to end the cage age, of intensive caged farming. The Commission's proposal is in response to the European Citizens' initiative "End the Cage Age," which attracted more than 1.4 million signatories from 18 different member states, and is supported by the Greens/EFA Group.

    European Climate Law: Not enough to meet Paris climate targets
