- “Democracy Now! Civil society building for a stronger Europe”
In recent years, civic space in the EU and other countries in the world has become increasingly threatened. Repressive laws and administrative hurdles increasingly restrict the freedoms of expression, assembly, and association throughout Europe. The crackdown on Civil Society has become a recent reality in many Member States and has been slowly growing in several others.
In this panel, we will discuss to discuss the state of civic space and possible policy-solutions (such as the upcoming EU directive on cross-border associations) with stakeholders and civil society organisations
- Access to abortions across borders
Organised by Tilt!
Participative workshop with Greens, activists, and civil society representatives. Tilt! will use the content of their ‘cross-border abortion access’ campaign to facilitate a practical workshop amongst participants. - Green transformation of our transport
We want to discuss what role the transport plays within the energy transformation, what changes will we have to make within our daily commutes to be able to reach net 0 emissions. Can cars still be our main mode of transportation if they are electric? Or do we need to change our approach to transport completely? Can we allow people to fly private jets unconstrained in a net 0 emissions future?
Content under development.

Agriculture in harmony with the environment, with people and with animal
Agriculture is more than ever a critical issue for the European Union and its Member States, as the impact of intensive farming on the planet is growing every day. Some of the topics touched upon by the panellists will be the phase-out of pesticides, the protection of forests and the problematic proposed EU certification of carbon removals.

“JUST TRANSITION: OVERCOMING CHALLENGES FOR EUROPE AND POLAND IN TIMES OF CRISIS”
People across the EU have felt the impacts of climate change and now the energy crisis, with sky-rocketing costs, putting ever more at risk of energy, food and mobility poverty. To get out of this crisis stronger and greener we need a new social contract, one that reduces existing social and economic inequalities and stands for a just transition for all of society. During this session we will be discussing how making the transition to an economy that serves people and the planet (not the other way around) can lead to better employment, health, and public services from housing to transport.
