Commission proposals welcome but not enough to steer EU through crises

Today, the European Commission has just presented two proposals, one on the revision of the Multiannual Financial Framework, the EU’s seven year budget, and the other amending the so-called Own Resources enhancing the EU’s ability to raise funds directly, rather than via Member States budgetary contributions.

EPP and Renew align with far-right extremists against nature restoration

A majority of EPP, Renew and right-wing populists in the European Parliament's Fisheries Committee rejected the European Commission's proposal for a Directive on Nature Restoration. The rejection is part of an ideological right-wing campaign against the Green Deal and key legislation to protect the climate and conserve natural resources.
