    Protect women in El Salvador

    Teodora Vázquez was imprisoned for over 10 years in El Salvador under the abortion law. She was accused of murder after complications in her pregnancy.     The time for warnings has passed – the EU must trigger article 7

    Greens/EFA MEP Judith Sargentini has today presented her report on the European Parliament's investigation into whether or not Hungary is in breach of the values of the European Union. Sargentini's report recommends that the Council initiate Article 7 proceedings against Hungary.

    Our Bodies - Our Lives

    It is high time to recognize women’s right to integral health. In El Salvador women suffer from an extreme restriction of their rights to sexual and reproductive health. The Penal Code forbids abortion in all circumstances. Currently, almost 30 women are in the Ilopango prison, condemned to a life in death.
