The Future of Europe: building the change we need

The first civil society forum with the Greens/EFA Group

Building partnerships and sharing ideas for a progressive Europe

The Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFE) is a project by the European Commission to hear from citizens from all over the EU about your vision for Europe’s future. It’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity for us to put forward game-changing policy and actively shape our political future.

Join the Greens/EFA Civil Society Forum, June 18th

The Greens/EFA Group are kickstarting the democratic process by organising an event with the voices that matter the most: yours. This is a first chance to dream, share ideas and make plans for the future of Europe. Let’s not be limited by the existing rules. We’re looking for big ideas. Change is possible, and we need your help to make it happen. Join us for our first Civil Society Forum.

When? Friday 18th June, 13:30-15:30 (CEST)

How can we make Europe more democratic, more resilient, more socially just, more innovative and more efficient? European citizens, NGOs and Members of the European Parliament will discuss:

the climate, environment & health

Rule of law, democracy & security

the economy, social justice, jobs, education, youth, culture, sport & digital

the EU in the world & migration

We want to build partnerships with leading NGOs and civil society groups in these fields so we can ensure that there is real participation and representation when the EU discusses its future.

If you have ideas about how to build a stronger European democracy, how to reshape our economy to be more sustainable, how to make the switch to greener industry, or how to make Europe fairer, more compassionate and more inclusive - we’d love for you to join us!
