    Symbolic action on climate change

    A few weeks before the start of the world climate negotiations in Copenhagen, French Green MEPs install an ice sculpture symbolizing a climate refugee in the middle of the central courtyard of the Parliament. This action aims at illustrating the devastating impacts of global warming on humanity and on the planet.

    EU climate policy

    The EU position for the UN climate negotiations will be discussed by finance and environment ministers at their respective council meetings 20-21 October.     EU Fisheries Control Regulation

    EU climate policy

    Following undelivered promises at the EU's December 2008 and March 2009 summits, EU finance ministers have again failed to agree on the EU commitment to climate financing for developing countries at their Council meeting in Luxembourg. EU leaders must now deliver at their 20-21 October summit.
