Urban Mobility Action Plan

The European Commission has published its long-awaited Urban Mobility Action Plan. Greens/EFA MEP Michael Cramer has criticised the lack of concrete measures to increase road safety and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in cities.

Working time

Today, the European Parliament's employment and social affairs committee narrowly voted in favour of a European Commission proposal to exclude self-employed drivers from working time rules in the road transport sector. The Greens are however calling for a single set of health and safety rules for professional drivers.
