    Commission’s plans for clean air inadequate

    Every year, hundreds of thousands of people die prematurely from air pollution in Europe. This is a disgrace. For years, far too little has been done to tackle air pollution, yet the European Commission’s reaction is once insufficient.

    MEPs call for urgent action on climate change

    A cross-party majority of MEPs passed the resolution ahead of the COP27 in Sharm El Sheik. The resolution calls for world leaders to increase their climate pledges, for a loss and damage facility, and for  $100 billion in climate finance to be paid by the end of this year to countries and regions most affected by climate change.

    The Greens/EFA call on Council to take decisive action on climate change

    The Greens/EFA call for a strong signal of unity and solidarity with Ukraine and demand answers to skyrocketing energy prices ahead European Council Summit. In addition, the Council must agree on concrete binding measures to limit global warming ahead of the UN Climate Conference in Sharm El Sheik.
