    MEPs denied proper inspection of detention center in Gjadër

    Today, a delegation of Greens/EFA Group MEPs visited the Gjadër migration detention centre in Albania. The group was denied a proper inspection of the facilities and faced uncooperative staff at the centre. The centre, part of the heavily criticised Italy-Albania deal, is being pushed by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and others.

    Right-wing muddying the waters at expense of local communities

    From lab to fork without anyone’s knowledge

    The European Parliament has given the green light to a new generation of GMOs. These plants are developed through new genomic techniques (NGTs) and are genetically modified without introducing DNA from other species, unlike first-generation GMOs created through transgenesis.

    EU Parliament successfully fought for passengers´rights and less headache in case of delays - a solution that flies

    In the near future, air passengers will receive compensation for delayed flights more easily. A compromise between the European Parliament and the Member States reached just now at the very last minute, guarantees more rights for air passengers, amongst them on reimbursement, hidden baggage costs and family rights.
