    Deaths at sea preventable but predictable until EU changes course

    Members of the European Parliament will debate the recent, tragic loss of life in the Mediterranean Sea.     MEPs vote for Ethics body, call on Commission not to drag its feet

    Members of the European Parliament have voted for an independent EU Ethics Body to tackle issues of integrity, transparency and accountability across the EU institutions. The Greens/EFA Group are calling on the Commission to come out with proposals for a strong and effective independent EU Ethics Body without delay.
