Data retention

The German constitutional court in Karlsruhe today dismissed a German law on retaining data linked to communications, such as telephone calls and email. This is highly significant for the future debate in the EU on this matter and on SWIFT bank transfers and Passenger Name Records, according to Green MEP Jan-Philipp Albrecht.
