Read our position papers, our studies, our statements and policy papers

Position papers include all papers formally adopted by our Group and thus representing our official position on major issues. Policy papers gather all briefings, brochures, statements from working groups or other Group bodies which have not been submitted to a vote but reflect a more technical position on specific topics. Studies are reports commissioned to experts and are accompanied most of the time with our political recommendations. For information and transparency purposes, we also publish here all Group letters sent to the other institutions or representatives

Greens/EFA co-Presidents call on the Parliament to ban access of Russian state-affiliated lobbyists

"Ending Russian influence in Europe starts at home, which is why we kindly urge the Parliament to immediately revoke the accreditation of Russian state-affiliated entities - like Gazprom, Rusatom, Lukoil & others - to the Parliament.” said Ska Keller and Philippe Lamberts in a letter addressed to EP President Roberta Metsola.

Review of the 15-point action plan

The Greens consider that an overhauled trade policy with a review of the TSD chapters at its core should combine rather than juxtapose the goal of optimizing market opportunities with scaling up sustainability practices across the board in conformity with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Inflation: the high price to pay for Europe’s dependence on fossil fuels

In the run-up to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, rising prices in the euro area were catalyzing a great amount of political attention. Inflation peaked to 5.1% in January and 5.9% in February, putting the European Central Bank (ECB) under the spotlight. Hawkish voices in the political arena, despite being the minority, got progressively loud…

Reducing the true cost of cotton T-shirts

Clothes are a basic human necessity but also a popular form of individual expression. However, the garment industry is also associated with negative impacts on people and the planet. Letter to Commission President von der Leyen on the approval of Poland's RRP

As attached documents clearly indicate, the many and deep shortcomings of the current draft laws, which fail to adress the ECJ demands as well as the latest actions carried out by the Government of the Republic of Poland since the war started in Ukraine all point to a fundamental lack of goodwill which in our view does not warrant an appr…
